Helen Hayes Hospital Appoints New Patient Relations Director

Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, NY is pleased to announce the appointment of Rosemary Galvin, RN to the position of Patient Relations Director and Administrative Representative for the Helen Hayes Hospital Volunteer Corps. As Patient Relations Director, Ms. Galvin will act as a liaison between hospital patients and staff, developing and administering policies that ensure excellent patient care. As Director of the HHH Volunteer Corps, she will lead the hospital’s dedicated corps of volunteers in their work to raise funds for hospital programming, equipment purchases and research.
Ms. Gavin has worked at Helen Hayes Hospital for over 20 years, serving as a nurse on each of the hospital’s specialty rehabilitation units. She received her BSN from Dominican College and has extensive experience working with patients across all fields of rehabilitative medicine, including patients with traumatic brain injuries, amputations cardiac and orthopedic conditions. Since 2011, Ms. Gavin has served as a dedicated nurse on the hospital’s Stroke Rehabilitation Service, providing stroke patients with superior care and tireless encouragement.
