The Outpatient Neurological Rehabilitation Center provides a comprehensive range of therapeutic services to adults and children, all customized to meet an individual’s specific needs and goals. Outpatient occupational therapy services are provided in dedicated therapy suites outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment. In addition, all outpatients have access to specialized services within the physical rehabilitation hospital, such as Aquatic Therapy, the Prosthetic Orthotic and Wellness Center, and the Center for Rehabilitation Technology, which may complement their therapeutic program.

OUTPATIENT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES
The goal of Outpatient Occupational Therapy is to enable an individual to carry out their activities of daily living, which include those performed at work, home, school and the communit, as independently as possible. Following a thorough evaluation, which includes an occupational therapy assessment of physical function as well as cognitive and daily living skills, if appropriate, an occupational therapist will tailor a treatment plan dedicated to restoring your maximum functional ability. Your therapist will work individually with you and will closely monitor your progress and modify your occupational therapy program as required.
Occupational Therapy provides a broad scope of services and may include any of the following:
- Upper extremity motor control
- Cognitive Rehabilitation
- Therapeutic modalities
- Recommendations for adaptive equipment
- Parkinson’s Disease Therapy (including LSVT Big and LSVT Loud)
- Saebo Orthotic devices
- Vibration Therapy
- Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES)
