Adapted Yoga Classes Offered at Rehabilitation Hosptial
July 29, 2015Basic yoga classes presented by the Helen Hayes Hospital Therapeutic Recreation Department are now being offered at a new rate for participants: each 6-week session will now cost $54 per attendee.
Classes meet on Wednesdays from 12:05 to 12:50 pm in the Helen Hayes Hospital Auditorium in West Haverstraw, NY. Community members can contact Jill Fitzsimmons for information on session dates and to register at 845-786-4934.
Yoga classes at HHH are perfect for beginners and can be adapted for all abilities. Yoga can improve circulation, range of motion, flexibility and endurance. It can also help reduce stress and lower blood pressure. An experienced instructor, knowledgeable in adapting yoga to all abilities will conduct the classes and assist all participants. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. A mat will be provided if attendees do not have one.
