DESCRIPTION:Tune into the virtual presentation of the 121st annual Helen Hayes Hospital Honors Assembly airing Thursday\, September 23rd at 12:00pm HHH’s Facebook and YouTube pages. Coinciding with National Rehabilitation Week\, this special virtual celebration will recognize the extraordinary achievements of our patients over the past year. \nThe Honors Assembly is a moving celebration of patient progress that has been held every year since our founding in 1900. Originally a school graduation ceremony for pediatric patients\, Helen Hayes MacArthur herself played a central role in presenting patients with their awards during her long history supporting the hospital. Today\, the Honors Assembly is a celebration of our entire hospital community and recognizes the unshakeable determination of our patients and all that National Rehabilitation Week represents—hope\, achievement\, spirit\, and strength. \nThis year\, we will honor seven remarkable patients who have demonstrated courage and tenacity in the face of extremely challenging circumstances. Together with their dedicated rehab teams\, these honorees have set goals\, overcome enormous hurdles\, and triumphed over adversity. Through physical rehabilitation\, they have not only regained function and independence\, but have acted as role models to others facing similar rehabilitation journeys.
