Helen Hayes Hospital Presents Course for PTs, OTs & Assistants, Adult Neuro-Handling Techniques: Concepts for Stabilization and Function April 14-15, 2018

West Haverstraw, NY – Helen Hayes Hospital will welcome instructor Michelle Mioduszewski, MS, OTR/L to present Adult Neuro-Handling Techniques: Concepts for Stabilization and Function on April 14th and 15th. This 2-day course for physical therapists, occupational therapists and therapy assistants will discuss the concepts of the physical care and evidence-based principals to create results in clinical interventions for stroke, hemiplegia, brain injury, spasticity and general motor control issues

Attendees to the course will benefit from a heavily lab-based schedule, which will provide skills for immediate, effective clinical use. Lab portions will cover movement and function analysis, midline shift dysfunction, stretching and facilitation. The core, scapula, upper extremities and lower extremities will be addressed, as well as gait techniques and interventions.
