January 11, 2016

The Center for Rehabilitation Technology at Helen Hayes Hospital will present a Power Door Opener Workshop on Thursday, January 21st from 2:30-5:00pm. The workshop will demonstrate how remote-controlled power door openers can offer individuals with disabilities—particularly those using wheelchairs or scooters—complete independence in entering and exiting residential or public doors. A portion of this special presentation will take place in the hospital’s state-of-the-art Smart Apartment, where attendees will have the opportunity for hands-on experience with power door openers in a home setting.
