VISITATION POLICY 

The Helen Hayes Hospital mission and goal are always to keep patients, their loved ones and the staff safe.  At any time that the Hospital determines there would be a concern for you or your loved one’s safety, the Hospital has the right to immediately intervene and stop the visit.

Visitors who are experiencing any signs of illness, such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, diarrhea, or vomiting, should not visit until the illness has resolved.

Please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the New York State Department of Health (DOH) websites for the latest information on respiratory virus guidance.

Visiting hours are 10:00 am to 8:00 pm every day.

Three visitors are permitted at a time.  Visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  Visitors must check out at the front desk before leaving to open up availability for the next visitors to register and visit.  Patients may deny or withdraw consent for a visit at any time.

A driver’s license or photo identification is requested upon check in.

Hospital staff will provide instructions regarding specific precautions for each patient, as applicable.

When visiting hours are over, all visitors must promptly leave the hospital.
