Helen Hayes Hospital is located in Rockland County, approximately 45 minutes north of the George Washington Bridge.

Public Transportation

Red and Tan Lines operates a daily service of local and express buses originating from the Port Authority Terminal in New York City including the #11A, 47 and 49 routes.

Metro North riders may take the Hudson Line from Grand Central Terminal to Ossining and then take a connecting New York Waterway Ferry to Haverstraw. For a schedule, call 1-800-53-Ferry.

Transport of Rockland (TOR) operates a Monday-Saturday service, with Route #94 stopping at the front door of the hospital and Route #91 stopping adjacent to the hospital. Visit online or call 845-364-3333.

Visiting Hours

Patient visitation will be permitted Monday through Friday from 3:30pm-8pm; Saturday through Sunday from 2pm-8pm.

Visitors are limited to two visitors per patient per day, with one visitor permitted at a time. Visitors must check out at the front desk before leaving to open up availability for the next visitor to register and visit. Visitors must meet the screening requirements for entering the facility.

MacArthur Park is available for outdoor visitation (MacArthur Park closes at 7:30 pm). Visitors must verify with the patient’s/resident’s nurse to confirm that the patient/resident may leave their room.

Please note that visitation is NOT PERMITTED on the SNF/TCU Units or in designated COVID rooms.
