The Helen Hayes Hospital Adapted Sports & Recreation Program has announced that it will offer an exciting new sled hockey program in conjunction with the New York Rangers Sled Hockey Team in early 2017. Free sled hockey training sessions will take place on January 5th and 19th and February 9th from 6:30-9:30pm at Madison Square Garden Training Center—the New York Rangers’ training center in Greenburgh, NY.

The New York Rangers Sled Hockey Team competes in the Northeast Sled Hockey League wearing the coveted New York Rangers jersey. Team members will be on-hand to provide Helen Hayes Hospital Adapted Sports & Recreation participants with hands-on sled hockey instruction as well as the use of all safety pads and equipment.

The Adapted Sports & Recreation Program at Helen Hayes Hospital is a four-season program that offers sports and recreation opportunities to individuals with disabilities of all skill levels. Program offerings include sled hockey, adapted skiing, golf, baseball, waterskiing, kayaking, gardening, sailing and more.
