Dr. Philip J. Melchiorre Joins HHH Medical Staff

Helen Hayes Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip J. Melchiorre, MD to our Medical Staff. Dr. Melchiorre brings over 33 years of experience in the field of physical rehabilitation and will share his wealth of knowledge with patients and staff on the Hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation units.

Dr. Melchiorre joins Helen Hayes Hospital from Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, where he served as Chief of the Division of Rehabilitation Medicine. He previously treated patients in private practice at Rehabilitation Specialists of New Jersey and Premier Physiatry Group, as well as in the role of Assistant Attending Physician in Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Melchiorre has also held several prestigious academic appointments, including Assistant Professor at University Hospital’s Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Assistant Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai’s Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
