Helen Hayes Hospital Patient Featured in WABC-TV Special “Protect Our Children: Coping, Stress, & Moving Forward” Saturday, April 16th at 7:00pm
April 14, 2016Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, NY will be featured in the April 16th WABC-TV special “Protect Our Children: Coping, Stress, & Moving Forward” at 7pm EDT. The special program will focus on what experts are referring to as an epidemic of stress-related problem plaguing children today, touching on such topics as the trauma accompanying physical injuries and the challenges faced by children with neurological disorders.
The Helen Hayes Hospital patient featured in the April 16th special suffered a stroke and traumatic brain injury at a very young age, just last year. The program meets up with him as he continues to undergo rehabilitation at the hospital and navigates the road of physical and emotional recovery with his family. Through intensive inpatient and outpatient therapy, he is making remarkable progress.
