Rehabilitation Hospital Appoints Behavioral Health Director

Andrew Hornstein, M.D. has been appointed Director of Behavioral Health at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, according to John T. Pellicone, M.D., Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Hornstein received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and completed a residency at Downstate Medical Center. He is board certified in psychiatry and neurology. Dr. Hornstein has authored numerous book chapters and has presented on topics related to traumatic brain injury, disability and behavioral health at conferences nationwide.

In this position, Dr. Hornstein will manage all staff that provide mental health services to patients, including psychiatrists, clinical social workers and mental health counselors. The Behavioral Health service provides consults to patients on all units of the physical rehabilitation hospital.
