Fundraiser to Benefit Physical Rehabilitation Hospital

The Helen Hayes Hospital Foundation will host an “Apples Poker Run” on Sunday, March 6, 2011 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Doyler & Dunney’s in New City, New York. The event, which is being organized by Elaine Apfelbaum, is a fundraiser for Helen Hayes Hospital, a leading specialty physical rehabilitation hospital serving individuals with catastrophic injuries and debilitating illnesses. The event is an entertaining way to support local businesses and the hospital.
Each four-person team will visit five New City establishments (Doyler & Dunney’s, LaTerrazza, Clubhouse, Castle Inn and Alfredo’s), where they will select one card from a deck. The team must visit all five locations during the four-hour event. All cards are returned to Doyler & Dunney’s by 4:30 p.m. in the provided sealed envelope. The top five poker hands will receive prizes.
The fee to register is $25 per person or $100 per team of four. A maximum of 52 teams may participate – so early register is encouraged.
