Helen Hayes Hospital’s SNF & TCU Named Best Nursing Homes by U.S. News & World Report

The Subacute Nursing Facility and the Transitional Care Unit at Helen Hayes Hospital were recognized as Best Nursing Homes for 2022-2023 by consumer rankings leader U.S. News & World Report on October 15^th. Both services earned an overall rating of “5 out of 5” and a short-term rehabilitation rating of “High Performing,” designating the services as premier providers of post-acute care for patients recovering from stroke, heart attack, orthopedic surgery, and other conditions.

U.S. News & World Report releases their Best Nursing Home rankings each year to help prospective residents and their families make informed decisions about short-term or long-term nursing home care. This year, the organization evaluated more than 15,000 care providers, focusing on care, safety, infection rates, staffing, and health infections. Helen Hayes Hospital’s SNF and TCU received top scores across all categories, earning the Hospital the only Best Nursing Homes ranking for short-term care for facilities currently operating in Rockland County.
