New Human Resources Director Appointed at Rehabilitation Hospital
February 4, 2013Lisamarie Valla has been appointed Director of Human Resources at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw.
Ms. Valla joins the physical rehabilitation hospital with an extensive and diverse background in the human resources field. Most recently, she served as Assistant Director of Employee Relations with the New York State Department of Health in Albany. In this capacity, Ms. Valla oversaw labor relations for the department and was involved with training and employee supervision initiatives. Previously, she served in various human resources capacities with the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities.
At Helen Hayes Hospital, Ms. Valla will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of the human resources function, from supervising recruitment and hiring to handling labor relations. She will be directly responsible for the hospital’s Human Resources staff, including employees in personnel, benefits and education.
